JOB SUMMARY:  The IT Assistant will assist in the implementation and maintenance of all equipment and software related to the retention, printing, and transfer of electronic documents and records.

ESSENTIAL TASKS/DUTIES:

      As instructed:

  1. Serve as the first point of contact for employees seeking technical assistance over the phone, email, or through the ticketing system.
  2. Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers
  3. Walk the employee through the problem-solving process
  4. Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
  5. Record events, problems, and their resolution
  6. Follow up and update customer status and information
  7. Provides assistance in the use of computer hardware, software, and specialized server technology or operates a multi-platform computer environment or monitors the production scheduling, execution, and successful completion of production jobs;
  8. Sets up and configures desktop computers, peripherals, and accounts assigning security level;
  9. Installs software and installs and repairs hardware and peripherals;
  10. Troubleshoots, diagnoses problems, implements corrective action procedures within prescribed guidelines, and/or escalates to other technical resources as appropriate;
  11. Maintains systems, databases, and web pages;
  12. Administers user accounts;
  13. Designs and produces basic reports;
  14. Security camera installation and maintenance
  15. Acts as a customer liaison for the computing operation, communicating, resolving, and/or initiating the resolution of problems and concerns;
  16. Maintains records (inventory);
  17. Contributes to unit goals by accomplishing related duties as required.
  18. Additional duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. Must have at least one year experience in an office setting.
  3. Must demonstrate the ability and willingness to comply with written and verbal instructions.
  4. Duties require intermittent walking, sitting, standing, pulling, bending, stooping, and reaching to perform tasks.
  5. Must be able to safely lift as much as 50 pounds, and to push/pull mobile loads weighing as much as 300 pounds.
