JOB SUMMARY:     Under the direction of the physician, the Clinic LVN Supervisor will provide an assessment of, planning for, documentation on, implementation, and evaluation of care for each assigned patient. Under the direction of the COO, the Clinic LVN Supervisor will manage the clinic LVN’s and MA’s. 

ESSENTIAL TASKS/DUTIES:

  1. Ensures appropriate order of appointment and patient flow.
  2. Monitors and expedites diagnostic testing.
  3. Provides basic patient assessments and reports unusual results to the physician.
  4. Appropriately interacts with and provides instruction to patients and family members according to providers’ orders.
  5. Administers medications according to physician’s instructions and clinic procedure.
  6. Performs basic nursing skills and prepares documentation of consistent care plans, physician instructions, and established procedures.
  7. Attends to medical records and referrals as needed or as directed.
  8. Collaborate with COO to ensure clinic productivity, efficiency and staffing. This could include maintenance of policies and procedures, scheduling, training and in-service of staff.
  9. Monitors Safety, Infection Control and Quality to ensure that standards are met.
  10. Delegate task to clinic LVN/s and MA’s
  11. Resolve conflict and address patient concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  12. Other duties as assigned by the COO.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
  2. Must have and maintain a current Licensed Vocational Nurse license issued by the State of Texas.
  3. Must obtain CME’s required to keep license current.
  4. Must have and maintain a current CPR certification.
  5. Must demonstrate the ability to engage in effective verbal and written communication.
  6. Maintain a professional relationship and positive attitude with all district co-workers.
  7. Duties require intermittent walking, sitting, standing, pulling, bending, stooping and reaching to perform tasks and be able to lift objects that may weigh as much as 50 lbs.
