For the Indigent Health Care Program July 1, 2018, to June 30, 2019
Tyler County Hospital District shall be responsible for providing the health care services required under the Texas Constitution, the statues creating the District and the responsibilities the Hospital District has under the Indigent Health Care and Treatment Act concerning an application procedure, and eligibility determination procedure and public notice. These services for financially indigent shall include the hospital services, both inpatient and outpatient, physician service at the hospital, with two (2) prescriptions per patient per month, skilled nursing services, laboratory, and radiology services. Services for each eligible resident shall be limited to 30 days of Hospital care or $30,000 per year, whichever comes first. Those persons that qualify as Medically Indigent (Charity Care) shall be mandated to receive services provided from Tyler County Hospital. Theses uncompensated services are limited to those services provided by this facility. Charity Care does not pay for services rendered outside of the facility. (ex. Radiology Reading) This shall include 24 hours a day, seven (7) days a week, evaluation by a physician and treatment through the Emergency Department.
