Time varies according to assigned location Levels II & III—Thirty-six (36) weeks of increased clinical experience coordinated with clinical conferences and fewer classroom hours Level II: Classes three days 8:00 a.m.-3:15 p.m. for three weeks; then two days Clinicals Two days; times vary according to assigned location Level III: Classes One day 8:00 a.m.-3:15 p.m. Clinicals Two days; times vary according to assigned location Qualifications for Admission: · At least 18 years old · High School Graduate or GED · Application (Instructions for Application) Accepted each year from April 1 through July 31 $40 non-refundable pre-entrance exam fee due with application payable by cashier’s check or money order only · Pre-Entrance Exam Test of Essential Academic Skills(TEAS) · Seventy-two (72) students are accepted Based on: Test scores—60% is passing; 60 alternates selected Texas State Board of Nursing criminal background check At least 15 Tyler County residents accepted Additional Requirements after acceptance: · References · Evidence of immunizations · Current TB skin test · Drug screen · Current CPR Card Tuition and Fees: · Tuition currently $5,500, subject to change · Additional fees due with tuition - $600 · Uniforms, license fees, test fees - during year approximately $1,000 Financial Aid: · Texas Workforce Commission for qualifying students · Governmental grants/loans NOT accepted · Tuition scholarships available through various local hospitals
